Hannover, Germany / Bahrain - Impress Software, a business division of trinovis GmbH, is a leading provider of packaged integration applications, today announces that it has been selected by Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) of Bahrain to integrate its Primavera P3e Project Management software for Routine Plant Maintenance and Plant Turnaround projects with SAP (PM). GPIC is implementing Impress for Projects, an EPM packaged integration application that provides best practices for bridging the data integration gap that exists between SAP PM/PS and  Primavera in order to streamline complex plant and routine maintenance project processes and to enhance data integrity between these disparate environments.

GPIC uses natural gas which is readily available in Bahrain as a feedstock for the production of 1,200 tonnes daily of Ammonia (400,000 tonnes per annum), 1,700 tonnes daily of Urea (600,000 tonnes per annum) and 1,200 tonnes of Methanol (400,000 tonnes per annum). The company has historically used Primavera to plan and schedule routine maintenance and plant turnarounds within its generation facilities. Connecting SAP PM and Primavera with Impress for Projects will provide an integrated picture between resource scheduling and project budgeting and charging.
